Origin: They are native to Asia including Mekong and Chao Phraya basins, southeastern Thailand, Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, and Indonesia. They usually inhabit moving waters of rivers and streams with sandy to pebbly bottoms, normally with dense with vegetation.
